LiUNA!625 Training Centre Addition & New Training Building

LiUNA 625 secured Archon Architects Incorporated to prepare full architectural and engineering documents, drawings and specifications, for two improvements (Building A&B to the site located at 2155 Fasan Drove Oldcastle, Ontario.  The first component, Building “A” includes an addition to the existing training centre and office building.  The addition is located directly attached west of the existing training centre and office building.  The second component, Building “B” is a standalone, pre-engineered building located in the northeast corner of the property, directly adjacent to an existing storage building and connected through a new link building, also part of this project, connecting the existing storage building to the new training building.

The exiting training centre & office building is a single storey, slab on grade, totalling approximately 2,080 sq. ft.  The building will use conventional construction materials, methods and is intended to be an extension of the current training space located directly adjacent to it.  Fully designed and engineered drawings are provided for this component.

The new training building is a double-height single storey, slab on grade and granular pit, pre-engineered building with mono-sloped roofs totalling approximately 6,260 sq. ft. including interior storage rooms with a mezzanine space for the installation of a swing stage system (provided by the Owner). The new building is composed of two primary sections, the main training building totalling 5,560 sq. ft. and a link building totalling 700 sq. ft.  The intent for this component, link and main building , is for the Construction Manager to solicit quotations for the complete engineering, supply, and then installation from a reputable pre-engineering building supplier to provide both the main and ling buildings structure, roof, metal siding and insulation.  Remaining portions should be undertaken / organized by the selected CM and subtrades although flexibility lies with the CM to confirm scopes the feel is best.
